چکیده
Changes in land-use–land-cover (LULC) affect the water balance of a region by influencing yield (WY) along with variations rainfall and evapotranspiration (ET). Remote sensing satellite imagery offers comprehensive spatiotemporal distribution LULC to analyse changes WY over large area. Hence, this study mapped successive between 2000 2015 Johor River Basin (JRB) specifically comparing satellite-based in-situ-derived characterising relation change magnitudes within watersheds. The was calculated using equation, which determines from equilibrium precipitation minus ET. ET information were derived Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) data, respectively. maps extracted Landsat-Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) Landsat Operational Land Imager (OLI). results demonstrate good agreement quantities situ measurements, an average bias ±20.04 mm ±43 for ET, indicated increase agriculture land other than oil palm 11.07%, reduction forest 32.15%, 11.88%, urban 9.82%, resulting 15.76% WY. finding can serve as critical initiative achieve targets 6.1 6.2 United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) 6.

Drought Analysis of Alvand Boundary River Using Remote Sensing Data
Extended abstract 1- Introduction The study of the behavior of rivers in the arid and dry areas is one of the most important tasks in the country. Because the area has increased the effects of drought due to the sensitivity of the area and rainfall shortage, it causes changes in the flow and sediment regime, water resources, agriculture, and so on. Since plants react more precisely to t...
متن کاملRemote sensing of vegetation water content from equivalent water thickness using satellite imagery
Vegetation water content (VWC) is one of the most important parameters for the successful retrieval of soil moisture content from microwave data. Normalized Difference Infrared Index (NDII) is a widely-used index to remotely sense Equivalent Water Thickness (EWT) of leaves and canopies; however, the amount of water in the foliage is a small part of total VWC. Sites of corn (Zea mays), soybean (...

Extended abstract 1- Introduction Coastal environments are one of the most sensitive environmental systems under the influence of dominant hydrodynamic processes. Coastal changes and evolution are occurring very fast. Coastal areas are now gradually becoming known as severe natural and man-made disturbances, including sea levels rising, coastal erosion and sedimentation, and over-exploitat...
متن کاملStudy of the snowmelt effects on surface and ground water in the Bahar basin using remote sensing data
According to recent Studies, about 60 percent of surface waters and 57 Percent ground waters are located in snowy zones in Iran. In most areas of northern hemisphere and alpine environment areas, snow melt lead to the maximum instantaneous flow rate and is an important part of annual discharge. The present study investigated the effect of snowmelt on the surface waters and ground waters in B...
متن کاملAnalysis of Streamflow Changes under Climate Change Using Rainfall-Runoff Model in the Kor River Basin
Abstract In this study, the predicted monthly temperature and rainfall data from HadCM3 model (base period, ۱۹۷۲-۲۰۰۱) and next period (۲۰۱۱-۲۰۴۰) under A2emission scenario were used to investigate the impacts of climate change on runoff variations in the Kor river basin. HadCM3 model output was downscaled based on a temporal downscaling approach (Change Factor) and spatial downscaling appro...
